Pathways Overview

Welcome to the Toastmasters Pathways learning experience, an exciting, flexible and interactive way to develop your skills and help others in your club develop theirs. Pathways helps you learn communication and leadership skills that you need to succeed. It gives you:

    • The opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies
    • 11 specialized learning paths to choose from
    • Online content, so that you can learn anytime, anywhere
    • Real-world, transferable skills
    • Content available in Arabic, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese, with select paths available in Korean and Tamil

Getting a Toastmasters Account

Before we enrol in Pathways, we will need a Toastmasters account. If you already set up your Toastmaster account, please move to next section.

Step 1: Go to https://www.toastmasters.org/login.

Step 2: Click on the "forgot password".

Step 3: Submit your email address that you use for Toastmasters (the same email address provided on your membership form). (An email will be sent to you for a new password.)

Enrolling in Pathways

Before we enrol in Pathways, we will need a Toastmasters account. If you are familiar with this step, please move to next section.

Step 1: Log in at https://www.toastmasters.org/login

Step 2: Click on ‘Pathways’ from the main navigation and select 'choose a path' from the dropdown menu (see below)

Step 3: Choose your path language preference and pick an option to access Pathways. (Pathways materials both available in online and printed formats, while printed format limits to 5 paths in English, requires extra USD 25.00 and does not have online access.)

Step 4: It's recommended to select 'take assessment' so that you can see which area you will need to work on (The Toastmasters system can help you identify). If you know what path you would follow, please select 'View Path Options' instead.

Step 5: Once you select a path, you can access from your account (See below).

Understand your Basecamp

Base Camp is a central hub where you find your learning projects, evaluation sheets as well as save your documents and build learning network.

Finding your project

Step 1: Clicking on "Paths and learning".

Step 2: You will see a list of learning materials that you enroll. Please check "Paths and Projects" section in https://www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview to identify your path and learning materials.

Step 3: Your Pathways progress will be captured here. Please access your project description, tests by clicking on launch.

Use case: getting your icebreaker

Step 1: Log in with your Toastmaster account https://www.toastmasters.org/login

Step 2: Go to your Base Camp (More details can be found in section "Enrolling in Pathways" above);

Step 3: Clicking on "Path and learning (education Transcripts)" (More details can be found in section "Understanding your Base Camp" above);

Step 4: Activate (If you haven't yet) and launch the project.

Step 5: Go through the project or simply find the evaluation sheet, project description from the dropdown menu.

Finding Evaluation Resources

Step 1: Clicking on “Speech evaluation” at home page.

Step 2: Clicking on any of them (shown below) and download the sheet by clicking on “launch”. To know what evaluation sheet you need, please discuss with your club Vice President of Education.
